gta_fan Nov 16, 2014 @ 5:29pm. There's Xbox 360 controller support but I don't think Xbox One support hasn't been added yet. #3. sbviper Nov 16, 2014 @ 6:55pm. I'm using the wireless 360 controller just fine. You have to go into controls, hit the drop down at the top and switch it from keyboard and mouse to keyboard and the game pad.
Launch Steam. Go to my library and launch ETS2 (I don't start steamVR at all, just launch it like any non-vr game) I select the 'Play Euro Truck Simulator 2 (64 bit)' option. As the splash screen for the game appears I hit F11 and the output switched from monitor to Rift.
If you have done this and it still does not work, you should continue with option 2. 2nd possibility: As mentioned above, you should also adjust your "Force Feedback Settings" in Euro Truck Simulator 2. You can do this under the main menu under Settings -> Controller or Steering Wheels and then under "Force Feedback".
In the Launch options type in "-openvr" (without quotation marks). I thought you had to use "-oculus" since the Quest 2 is an Oculus headset, but this will lead to the game not working, so stick with "-openvr". In the Betas tab select the newest VR beta from the drop down menu (usually the first oftion on the list). Now start up Virtual Desktop.
Euro Truck Simulator 2. Steam input errors. Again the steam controller support is not working. When the player change his configs in to the controller layout, the Steam screen doesn't confirm the choice, and in-game it goes back to the official controller layout, that sucks in my opinion. I'm very dissapointed, since I cannot play neither ETS2
Press shift + tab to open the steam overlay. Click on controller configuration at the top right. You will most likely come across the recommended settings like this. Do NOT use those settings, instead click on the templates (left side) and select gamepad. We will refer to this page as gamepad settings.
Open config.cfg and look for this line: uset s_rumble_enabled "1" . Make sure it's "1" and not "0" . It definitely works because it works for me from the first time I played with a controller. It vibrates when you drive over rumble strips (sleeper lines), driving on the country road (leading to the farm company), in quarries, when you drive too
